Video production for overseas markets, inbound video production, Freelance videographer Tokyo Japan
Creating a bridge between Japan and the world through video production.
Working in an international environment could be a challenge sometimes, especially when you’re producing video content, which is one of the current key communication tools.
Better communication with onsite Japanese stakeholders could lead to a better final video, and also to a lasting partnership.
My mission is to facilitate companies producing videos in this multilingual environment.
I’m Yoshi a video director and producer based in Tokyo, JAPAN.

About me
Born in Kanagawa prefecture, JAPAN.
At the age of two, I moved with my family to France because of my father's job.
I attended regular public schools, therefore I spoke French at school and Japanese at home.
When I was little, I probably thought that my home was Japan and the outside house was France.
Obviously, I was Asian and looked Asian, but I always wanted to be recognized as French and to fit in.
During school trips, other children's lunches were sandwiches, but as a nice Japanese mother, my mom prepared me some rice balls. That's an example of a cultural barrier that made my integration more difficult. Sometimes being bi-cultural was tough, I even felt ashamed of it sometimes.
But as I grew older, I began to see this Japanese culture as a treasure that my parents had bequeathed to me.
Because of that, I was able to understand different cultures easier and it has enriched my life experience and allowed me to connect with many different people.
That's when I finally understood the power of culture.
After graduating from university, I left France to start working in Japan.
After three years of working as a videographer/ editor for a global sports company, I wanted to make more use of what I had experienced, and of my bi-culture, so I decided to start working as an independent videographer.
I understand the challenge and the required courage to show your culture to people from abroad. It's difficult to be understood and we fear being rejected.
However, I also know how interesting it is to learn about someone's else culture.
Furthermore, I love to see people's smiles when they get to know each other and starts understanding their respective culture.
I believe we can achieve this kind of connection through video.
Let me help you on your video production projects.
